Lia Marie Johnson

Educator, Daughter

Lia Marie discovered her love for nature, music and the performing arts while still in her mother’s belly! She is a natural performer and staunch advocate for animal and human rights as well as sustainability and conservation. Helping Little Tree Huggers with music and as an assistant teacher ever since 2015, she too is fluent in Spanish and has become an integral part of our team!  She's been working full time with LTH since 2021 as a lead teacher and thrives on contributing to the children's emotional and educational enrichment. Lia Marie is a certified member of the Childbirth and Postpartum Professional Association (CAPPA) and practicing birth Doula who regularly volunteers at the Virginia Hospital Center.

Not only has Lia Marie written and composed the Little Tree Huggers theme song, she wrote and composed a complete album with her former Band, Alaska and Aurora, while she was finishing Loudoun County High School a year early!  Please check out the link below and read about and listen to this spectacular local talent!!!!!  You'll be glad you did.

Lia Marie and her partner are avid artivists and their art work beautifully embodies their efforts to reclaim their indigenous heritage through the creative initiative know as PICCHU.
